What is MentorSano · Health Compass?
An online personalised health platform created by pharmacist Adrian Ienin, co-founder of
Minunea Naturii. You fill in a 15-minute health questionnaire, upload your blood tests,
keep a short daily journal and get recommendations on food, sleep, movement and habits
that suit you. The MentorSano AI prepares the recommendations, and the expert checks them
before they reach you.
The basic account is free. The plan, the menu and the meal reviews from photos come with
the subscription, 79 RON a month.
How much does it cost?
The free account costs nothing: the questionnaire, the recommended tests, your test results
over time, the daily list and journal, your health by area, the lesson of the day, the
Journey and the 12 short questionnaires. We don't ask for your card to get started.
The plan, the recommendations, the menu, the meal reviews from photos and direct messages to
the expert come with the subscription, which costs 79 RON a month. You pay
for one month at a time, as a single payment. Nothing is ever charged automatically. We email
you 3 days before the month ends. You pay for the tests at the lab, not to us, and some basic
ones can be done for free through your family doctor.
How can I understand my blood tests online?
You upload your lab reports to the portal, older and newer ones alike. The MentorSano AI
reads the values together with your questionnaire answers and your journal, and the expert
checks the result. You find out, in plain words, what is worth watching, how your values
relate to your sleep, food and energy, and which tests to do next time.
We don't diagnose and we don't prescribe treatment; for that, we recommend you see a
doctor. The same value on a lab report can mean different things depending on the lab, your
age and the treatment you are on.
Can I follow how my results change over time?
Yes. Every value appears on a chart, with older tests next to the new ones, grouped by topic
or body system. You see at a glance what changed from one report to the next. It is your
personal health record, in one secure place, not scattered in drawers.
Which tests should I do? Can I get them for free from my family doctor?
After the questionnaire you get a recommended list of tests. In Romania, some of them can
usually be done for free with a referral from your family doctor, if you are insured: the
complete blood count, blood sugar, cholesterol and others. Then, only if needed, more
specialised tests that you pay for; you see their price upfront, so nothing takes you by
surprise.
You show the list to your family doctor, who decides what goes on the referral. Labs have a
monthly budget for covered tests, so sometimes you will have to wait until the start of the
next month.
Do I get a personalised meal plan or a diet?
Not a diet or a regimen designed for a specific condition: that is the job of a dietitian or
a doctor.
With the subscription you get a 7-day menu made for you, to your tastes and schedule: meal
ideas from everyday food, with estimates of calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates and fibre
for every meal. The shopping list comes with it, ready made and sorted by category.
Do I need to have blood tests already?
No. You can start with what you have. We tell you which tests are worth doing, and once you
upload them, the plan takes them into account.
How does the photo food journal work?
You take a photo of your plate or upload all the day's photos at once. They sort themselves
into meals by the time they were taken. The AI recognises the food, estimates the amount and
tells you how well the meal suits you, given your health or the goal you have. Nutritional
values are calculated from the European CIQUAL database, not guessed by the AI.
Calories and nutritional values from photos are approximate: they depend on the angle and on
what can't be seen on the plate. Photos are deleted automatically after 120 days.
Who writes the plan: an AI, software or a person?
Each does its part. The MentorSano AI reads your answers, tests and journal and prepares a
draft. The expert, a person, reads it, corrects it and approves it before it reaches you.
The only exception is the review of meal photos: it appears shortly, marked "preliminary",
and the expert confirms or corrects it afterwards. More in
how we
use artificial intelligence (in Romanian).
What do holistic and integrative health mean at MentorSano?
It means we look at you as a whole: your tests, sleep, food, movement, stress and daily
rhythm, taken together rather than one by one. We look for the vicious circles that keep
themselves going, such as tiredness, coffee and poor sleep, and we start with the easiest
step.
We tell you what is important to discuss with your doctor and what the next sensible steps
are.
We don't replace doctors or medicine; on the contrary, we complement them. Nothing changes
in your treatment: keep following all your doctor's recommendations and treatments.
MentorSano focuses on prevention and lifestyle, the part you need day after day.
What data do you ask for?
Your first name, the initial of your last name and an email. We don't ask for your full
name, national ID number, address or phone. You can even use an email made just for this.
What matters is that you read it, because that is where you get the links to log in.
The subscription doesn't need more either: the invoice is simplified, for maximum
privacy.
Who sees what I write?
Only our expert, because he checks your plan. What you write and upload stays in the portal,
on a secure server in the EU: it is not sold, not passed on and doesn't reach anyone else.
You can delete your account at any time.
More in the privacy
policy (in Romanian).
How long does it take?
Creating the account takes about a minute, and the first questionnaire about 15 minutes.
The recommended tests come afterwards; how fast depends on how many people are ahead of you
that week, but no more than 48 working hours. The daily journal takes a minute or two a day
in the short version, and uploading meals another 1-2 minutes. Beyond that, the platform has
interesting content you can go through at your own pace.
What are the Journey and the points system?
The Journey is a kind of game that helps you stick with it and stay on track. You earn points
for what you do, and a day when you honestly write that it didn't go well earns as many
points as one that did. Because it is about progress, not perfection. You climb from stop to
stop on a map, you have missions, a surprise chest on Sundays and a weekly challenge with
other participants, in which nobody sees what you did.
Points can't be bought and can't be turned into money, but they can be turned into other
rewards. If the game isn't for you, you can ask for it to be switched off on your account.
Do I need scales, a smartwatch or other devices?
Not necessarily, but they could help a lot, with clearer data about your health. All you
really need is an email you read, a few minutes a day and, for meal photos, a phone.
What happens if I stop paying for the subscription?
You are not charged anything, because nothing is paid automatically. Your account stays free,
with everything you have received, and the journal, the lessons and the Journey carry on.
Is this a medical service?
It is not a medical service. You get lifestyle recommendations. They don't replace a visit
to a doctor or a dietitian and they don't change anything your doctor has told you. On the
contrary, the platform has a section on what would be important to discuss with your doctor.
For acute problems or sudden symptoms, see a doctor.
Can I sign up if I am under 18?
No. MentorSano · Health Compass is only for people over 18.
Can I stop?
Any time, without explaining yourself to anyone. The free part is not a subscription. You pay
for the premium subscription one month at a time, as a single payment. Nothing is charged
automatically. We email you 3 days before the month ends. You can delete your account and
data yourself, from your account, or write to us and we will delete them.
